Renee Schneider: Exploring the Inner Fish

Perennial inner fish is within us. Let's explore some light cross-species anatomy and see how the aquatic movements free our movements, our breath, our presence, our attention.

"Exploring Inner Fish!" could also known as "what decolonized Alexander Technique could look like".

Meeting the student where they are has led to some surprising discoveries of what seem plainly to be fish-like movements.

Renee will share her discoveries that you will be able to explore in yourself and with students. This approach honors the student in “the right thing does itself,” regulates the nervous system and the breath mechanisms, and provides overall tone and growing in stature. The journey begins with non-doing, expanded space, quiet, and most importantly social support. In the quiet “following” these ancient pan-species movements can reveal themselves to us.
