P. Leonie Smith and catherine strickland: Nonviolent Communication for Antiracism: Moving Beyond Blame and Shame

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is both a way of being and a concrete set of skills which help us see our common humanity. During this one hour workshop, you will be introduced to how stepping toward vulnerability can help us realize our commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression, and create a community and world that welcomes all. We will look at how the shame and blame that often surfaces when expanding our community to welcome those who have been traditionally marginalized can be transformed to surface connection and understanding.

This experiential workshop will introduce you to skills that you can use to create change in your life and community.
